Disability benefits
Short-Term Disability (STD)
Worthington Steel provides disability benefits if you become disabled due to illness or accident. After a seven-day waiting period, STD provides three weeks of 100% salary continuation, then 23 weeks at 75% of benefit earnings. This plan is administered by Lincoln Financial, and we provide STD at no cost to you.
Long-Term Disability (LTD)
If your disability lasts more than 26 weeks, you may qualify for LTD benefits. It pays 60% of the greater amount of your two prior years’ W-2 earnings, offset by Social Security (among other things), up to age 65. LTD is also administered by Lincoln Financial and is a Company-paid benefit, available at no cost to you.
